Introduction

"Wonder what the Bible says about that?" 

"I've been meaning to study the Bible. I'd like to know more..."

"My church doesn't teach the meaty stuff"

"I'm not sure I believe in God or Jesus"

"I don't know what to believe"

"I want to believe in something"

"I need hope." 

I hear things like this nearly every day. If this is you, for whatever reason, this blog is for you!  

Who am I? A small-town girl from the Bible Belt who was "churched" (Taken to a Bible-teaching/believing church and taught Bible throughout. my childhood).   I also have a Bachelor of Science in Religion and a Master's degree in Christian Studies. 

Does that mean I think I'm an expert? NOPE! It means I can help point you to what the Bible says about things, offer my perspective, and you can prayerfully decide what you believe based on what the scripture says. 

I unapologetically believe and proclaim that the Holy Bible is Authoritative, valid, and applicable. It is the user manual for human life. Parts of it are beautiful, prophetic, and intriguing literature. Other parts of it are gruesome and hard to comprehend. All of it is a beautiful series of inspired love letters from our creator.
